"Zooey Deschanel In Talks For Fox Pilot"

Is Fox about to become the network of the Deschanel sisters? Indie movie darling Zooey Deschanel is in negotiations to star in Fox's untitled single-camera comedy pilot from writer-producer Liz Meriwether, 20th TV and studio-based Chernin Entertainment. Zooey's sister, Emily, of course stars in the veteran Fox procedural Bones. Both the new pilot and Bonesare produced by 20th TV. The Liz Meriwether project, originally titled Chicks and Dicks, is described as a young ensemble comedy about the sexual politics of men and women. It centers on Jessica, a role that Deschanel is eying, an optimistic but unlucky in love elementary school teacher who, after her most recent break-up, moves out of her apartment with her ex and moves in with 3 juvenile guys.

This would mark the first regular TV role for (500) Days of Summer star Deschanel, who was recently attached to star in and executive produce an HBO half-hour project based on Pamela Des Barres’ memoir I’m With the Band: Confessions of a Groupie, which ultimately didn't go forward. She previously did an arc on Showtime's Weeds and guest starred opposite her sister in an episode of Bones. On the film side, Deschanel  most recently co-starred in the Sundance entry My Idiot Brother.

After months inside a facility for "emotional and physical issues,"Demi Lovato has been released from rehab - and is already back in El Lay, where she hopes to get back into her "regular routine," spend time with her family and friends, and continue to get treatment.

Charlie Sheen only now in rehab after many offers?

It seems that Charlie Sheen didn’t check into rehab until Saturday because he had so many places trying to get him to stay with them.

Sheen’s manager, Mark Burg, claims that the actor had places approaching him for various reasons but he finally decided on one with the help of friends and family, states People.

The ‘Two and a Half Men’ star is reportedly focusing on sobriety for now and will return to work when things are more under control. Sheen’s rehab location is staying private.

Chris Brown wants Rihanna restraining order lifted

Washington, Jan 29 : Chris Brown's attorney requested a judge to remove the restraining order against his client during a review hearing in the singer's Rihanna beating case.

Brown, along with his legal ace attorney Mark Geragos, arrived to the courthouse in downtown Los Angeles.

Geragos told Judge Patricia Schnegg that his client has completed his 52 week domestic violence counseling and requested she remove the existing restraining order against Brown, reports Radaronline.com.

"It makes it difficult at award shows and such," Geragos said.

The judge didn't immediately grant his request, but suggested a modification to the restraining order with the approval of Rihanna's attorney David Etra.

Kate Hudson’s family hope she is expecting a baby girl.

The 31-year-old actress, who confirmed earlier this month she is pregnant with her first child with current boyfriend Matt Bellamy, has delighted her mother Goldie Hawn and stepfather Kurt Russell with the news, but they would be even happier if gives them a granddaughter.

Kurt told People magazine, “It’s fun having babies once again. And it’s fun to watch them grow. It’s fun to see what they’re grasping. I think secretly we’re all hoping for a girl.”

Goldie, 65, admitted she is “excited” about the latest addition to their family.

She said, “I’m excited, it’s exciting. You know, we’re just all very happy… happy for them both. What’s more to say?”

Kate, who has a seven-year-old son Ryder with ex-husband Chris Robinson, has been dating the Muse rocker for around nine months and Kurt, 59, and Goldie are delighted by her latest relationship.

Kurt said, “We understand what Katie sees in him. He’s a great guy.”

Kate introduced Matt to her famous mum last July, which the 32-year-old singer admitted he was really nervous about at the time.

He said beforehand, “I’m going to meet her but I don’t want to say too much about it. I’m already nervous. I don’t want to make the whole experience even more embarrassing.”

The couple then spent this Christmas with both sets of parents, with the British singer flying his mother Marilyn and father George, who are divorced – out from their homes in Exeter, South West England to California to enjoy a big family celebration with Goldie and Kurt.

Accused rapist, Oscar-winner Joseph Brooks 'attacked many more women'

New York, Jan 29 : Already accused of raping and sexually assaulting 13 women, Joseph Brooks, an Oscar-winning composer attacked at least a dozen other women, prosecutors said Friday.

Although the DA's office is barred by statute of limitation rules from lodging charges related to the additional victims, prosecutors want the women to testify against the aging composer.

The allegations come after Brooks' son was charged for the murder of sexy swimsuit designer Sylvie Cachay last fall.

"I've interviewed these women," the New York Daily News quoted Assistant District Attorney Maxine Rosenthal as saying.

She added that she'd talked to as many as 50 women who had contact with Brooks in recent years.

If the judge allows their testimony, the women would be called to show the jury that Brooks, 72, is a predator who used his fame to lure young women into assaults at his upper East Side apartment.

The names of the women were found in 17,000 emails from Brooks' computers, which were seized after his 2009 arrest.

"These could be significant witnesses," said Defense lawyer Jeffrey Hoffman to the judge.

Diddy blames hectic work schedule for ruining his relationships

London, Jan 29 : Sean 'Diddy' Combs has admitted that he has a lot of regrets over his behaviour in the past because his romances haven't lasted.

The hip-hop mogul has blamed his hectic work schedule and the "temptations" of the showbiz lifestyle for ruining his relationships and leaving him single at the age of 41.

"I'm a workaholic and it's cost me relationships. There have been times when I've been selfish and then also falling for temptation. Just being out there and having a lot of candy in my face and having a sweet tooth. I definitely have some regrets," the Daily Express quoted Combs as telling the Sun.

"It could have worked out with certain women but it wasn't supposed to be like that. That must be for the better because it's brought me to here now."
"If the right person is out there for me... well, if she's ready, I'm ready," he added.

Combs has five children with different women, including three kids with on/off girlfriend Kim Porter, but he's currently without a long-term partner.

  London, Jan 29 : Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband Frederic Prinz von Anhalt may have decided to put their Los Angeles mansion up for sale, but he has a "non-negotiable condition" for potential buyers - the ailing actress will stay there as long as she lives.

"She will stay here in the house as long as she lives," the Daily Express quoted Von Anhalt as saying.

He made the revelation on U.S. TV breakfast programme 'Good Morning America' on Friday, 28th Jan.

Von Anhalt said that the decision to sell the house was necessary to pay for the actress' spiralling medical bills.

"The upkeep alone per month on the house is 35,000 dollars. It gives me a big headache, and I cannot afford to keep paying it," he said.

Demi Lovato: Released from Treatment Center

One the same day Charlie Sheen checked into a rehab center, Demi Lovato checked out of one.

Lovato is already back in Los Angeles, following a two-month stay in an Illinois facility where she fought through what a rep originally described as "emotional and physical issues."

In fact, these photos were snapped of the star this afternoon in Santa Monica. Isn't it nice to see her smiling again?

Demi will continue to seek treatment in California, as insiders tell TMZ she hopes to return to a "regular routine" that involves a lot of time with her family.

Peaches Geldof says she could “fall” for Boardwalk Empire actor Steve Buscemi even though he doesn’t have pin-up good looks and is old enough to be her dad.

There is an ugly rumor circulating Hollywood that I thought we should discuss. Word is that Kristen Stewart is going to play Snow White in the upcoming live-action movie, Snow White and the Huntsmen, an interpretation of the classic fairytale we all know and love.

K. Stew is the top runner among other Snow White contenders like Riley Keough (from The Runaways, daughter of Lisa Marie Presley) and Emily Browning (an Australian actress whom I've never heard of).

It's been a while since I've seen Snow White, but I remember Ms. White as a happy, smiley, innocent young woman who likes dwarfs and apples. Can theTwilight brooder pull this off?

She's got the look though, for sure, I'll give her that. Lips red as the rose, hair black as ebony, skin white as snow ... something like that. Kristen is a perfect physical match, but she's too angry. I don't think she's light-hearted enough to draw us in and fall in love with Snow.

I think Ellen Page is mysteriously absent from the list of possible princesses. She's gorgeous, has the round, happy face, and is a talented actress. I could watch Juno every night of the week. And she's got the look, too.

Snow White and the Huntsmen is in pre-production, with Viggo Mortensen and Charlize Theronsigned on to play the Huntsmen and the Evil Queen, respectively. Which would mean that anyone who plays Snow will likely have a make-out sesh with Viggo. Who's 52 years old. Barf.

Elen teamed the skirt with a pair of pink and red shoe boots, a black polo neck and silk scarf.

2011 Academy Award nominations revealed!

The nominations for the 83rd Academy Awards were announced in L.A. this morning by Academy president Tom Sherak and Oscar-winner Mo'Nique.

The King's Speech dominated the field with 12 nominations, followed closely by True Grit (10 nods), The Social Network (8 nods) and Inception (8 nods). Many pundits consider this to be a two-horse race, between long-time favourite The King's Speech (which recently picked up the weighty Best Film prize from the PGA) and The Social Network (which has dominated the guild awards for much of the past two months).

Aussies Jacki Weaver, Nicole Kidman and Geoffrey Rush were all recognised in the acting categories, while Freo-born Shaun Tan's animated short The Lost Thing also scored a nomination. (UPDATE:Inside Film remind us that Aussies Ben Snow and Kirk Baxter also scored nominations, for Visual Effects on Iron Man 2 and Editing The Social Network respectively).

Universal want Kristen Stewart for Snow White; Viggo Mortensen for Huntsmen

We heard in December that Relativity Media’s The Brothers' Grimm: Snow White was in competition with Universal’s Snow White and the Huntsman. Already pitting Charlize Theron andJulia Roberts against one another for the role of the Evil Queen, we wondered then who might Hollywood have pegged for the other two leading roles: the dashing Huntsman and the absolute “fairest of them all”?

Well, according to The Hollywood Reporter, so far as Universal are concerned it might just be that the fairest is the one we know best for not being able to tear herself away from a glittery-skinned man. That’s right, I’m talking about beautiful Bella: Kristen Stewart.

Universal (whose version is said to have Charlize Theron in talks for the coveted role of the Evil Queen) have apparently spent the weekend screen testing a hoard of young beauties for the role - Riley Keough,Felicity Jones, Alicia Vikander and Emily Browning - and yet, they just keep coming back to Bella. Thanks to the almighty success of the Twilight series it seems Stewart has already reached that dizzying and sought after A-list height that means testing is not required.

But what of our Huntsman? Well, once again, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Michael Fassbender had been up for consideration but has been replaced as the lead rumour now that he has been announced to star in Fox’s Prometheus opposite Noomi Rapace. Now, it seems Viggo Mortensen (The Road) is the alpha male of the moment.

With Theron’s talent and beauty fit for the Evil Queen, Stewart’s fair and youthful ways making her a suitable if slightly atypical Snow White and a really rather dashing and chivalric Mortensen set for the Huntsman, I dare say Relativity will have a hard time coming up with the goods to rival Universal. Sure, Julia Roberts used to be the fairest of them, but even without Snow White, surely the mirror couldn’t utter the words…
