- If you’ve been wanting to get an electric car but are hesitating due to its known mediocre performance, take a look at the 2011 Reva NXG, which has a maximum speed of 80mph, can travel 125 miles per charge, and seats two underneath a removal targa top.
- We can’t help but compare it to the Smart car. Designing the car is Dilip Chabria of DC Design who also worked on the Aston Martin Vanquish, the Rolls-Royce Coupe concept and the two-door Porsche Cayenne. If for some reason, the charge runs out, the NXG has a feature that enables owners to call or text for an emergency recharge. The feature is aptly called “REVive” and while it’s unlikely that electricity could be transmitted wirelessly over cell phone signals, many believe that control centers can remotely enable vehicles to access a reserve charge level that shouldn’t be used too often for fear of shortening the battery’s service life. There has been no announcement of what type of batteries the NXG will use. But there have been hints given out that there will be dual charge ports that are designed to accept standard charging or a one hour fast charge
